What is the standard check-in and check-out time?

You can check-in from 3 p.m. on the day of arrival and please check-out by 11:00 a.m. on the day of departure. If you arrive earlier than check-in time, we are more than happy to store your luggage in a storage room.

Can I request late check-out?

Depending on occupancy, we offer late-out service with additional charge to the accommodation fee.
Until 3:00 p.m. – additional 30% of your accommodation fee
Until 6:00 p.m. – additional 50% of your accommodation fee
After 6:00 p.m. – additional 100% of your accommodation fee

Is it possible to send my luggage prior to check-in?

Yes, we will store your luggage from one day before your arrival date. Please specify your arrival date and reservation name on the delivery slip, and send it to the following address:

Is it possible to drop and store my luggage before check-in and after check-out?

Yes, absolutely. Please ask any receptionist at front desk.

Do you accept delivered packages from any online shopping?

Yes, we do. Please contact us before check in and confirm sending these by reservation name.

We are arriving at your hotel really late. Can we still check-in?

Absolutely. If your arrival will be late at night, please contact us in advance in order to avoid cancellation of your stay.

Is the Front Desk open for 24 hours?

Yes, it is.

Can we borrow a baby bed?

Yes, you can use a baby bed for free of charge. As we have a limited number of beds, please inform us upon reservation.

Can a baby share a bed with adults without adding an extra bed?

Yes. Children under age of 6 can share the bed under the condition of one child per bed. In this case, the child can stay free of charge. However, please be noted that the child’s breakfast is not included in the package even if your accommodation fee includes breakfast.

How much is breakfast for children?

Breakfast for children the age of 0 to 5 is free of charge.

Can we book rooms next to each other?

Please contact our reservation clerk for availability.

Do you have a connecting room?

Yes, you can make a reservation only by phone or email for standard rooms next to each other, but the number of rooms are limited. Please contact our reservation clerk for the availability upon booking.

Can I book a particular room?

You can make a request, but it depends on availability.

Can I select a specific room number?

Unfortunately, you cannot select a specific room. Your room will be allocated according to the room type you have booked.

Do you have a wheelchair accessible room?

Yes, we offer one accessible room. Please kindly contact our reservation clerk upon booking.

Can I bring my guide dog with me to your hotel and keep him in my room?

Yes, absolutely. Our reservation clerk will help you arrange a room with guide dog-friendly equipment.

Can I connect to the Internet in my room?

Yes. Complimentary Wi-Fi access is available in all guestrooms, restaurant and public areas.

What kinds of loan item do you have?

Pillows (memory foam, pipe), blanket, Kids amenity(slippers and toothbrush), Kids pajamas, mobile charger, multi-socket, air cleaner, iron & ironing board, trouser press, desk lamp, skincare set, sewing kit, nail clipper, thermometer

No, we don’t.

Can I borrow wine glasses, plate wares or cutleries?

Yes. Please visit our front desk to borrow.

Are there any ice machines in the hotel?

There are no ice machines. If you need some ice please visit our front desk. Please note that we don’t take an order to deliver ice.

Do you offer a massage in room?

Yes, we do. Please visit our concierge desk for further information.

Do you have a fitness gym in the hotel?

There is no fitness gym.

Do you have a large public bath?

No, we do not have a large public bath.

Is there a laundry facility?

Unfortunately no, but we are providing laundry service with fee. Please fill out the laundry form and bring it along with garments to the front desk. Please note we do not collect things from your guest room.

Can I order food delivery services from outside the hotel, like Uber Eats?

We kindly ask you to refrain from ordering the delivery services not offered by the hotel.

Can I invite my clients to the hotel for a business meeting?

For security purposes, we kindly ask our hotel guests not to invite any additional guests to the guestrooms if they are not registered on the booking list. Please use the lobby lounge and restaurant on the first floor for the meeting.

Until when can I ask to order breakfast?

Please visit our front desk until night before or restaurant that day.

Do you offer delivery service? Can I get a box or parcel?

Yes. Please visit concierge desk in front of the front desk. Parcels and boxes are available for purchase at the desk.

Is there accommodation tax in Kyoto city?

As of October 1, 2018, accommodation tax is levied to the guests staying in all hotels located in Kyoto City including Cross Hotel Kyoto.

I would like to cancel my stay. Will I be charged cancellation fee?

We will not charge any cancellation fees if you cancel your reservation up to two days of your arrival in advance. Any cancelation after that will incur cancellation fee.

One day before arrival: 20% of your accommodation fee
The same day of your arrival: 80% of your accommodation fee
No show: 100% of your accommodation fee

I would like to withdraw cash using a credit card. Is there any cash machine nearby?

Yes, there is an ATM inside 7-Eleven convenience store at the intersection of Sanjo and Kiyamachi streets.

Do you have any membership programme we can join?

Not yet at this moment.

Is reservation required?

It is not necessary, but we recommend advance reservation.

Can I order a la carte menus on the spot without ordering in advance upon booking?

Yes, of course. But, for group bookings or if you need to work within a set budget or time, we highly recommend you to choose menus beforehand upon reservation, particularly in the case of a group of five and more.

Is there any special offer for celebratory occasions?

We can decorate the dessert dish with a message. Please kindly inform us upon reservation.

Could you arrange a bouquet or a cake for celebrations?

Certainly. 3 days advance reservation is required for a whole cake. As to bouquets, please ask our restaurant staff for further assistance.

Is there any dress code?

The dress code is smart casual or any clothes for everyday wear. Please refrain from using T-shirts, shorts and slippers.

Can I take my child to the restaurant?

We are happy to welcome young customers. Please kindly let us know upon booking in order to make your dining experience more comfortable.

Is there any kids’ menu?

Not really, but we can recommend some dishes for young customers. Please feel free to ask any of our restaurant staff.

Can I order only drinks?

Yes, Absolutely. Our delicious snacks and nibbles are also highly recommended.

Can I use your restaurant even though I am not staying at your hotel?

We welcome all guests from 7:00 a.m. to midnight every day.

Is there any banquet menu?

We have a party package with free flow drinks. Please enquire us for further information.

Can I take a pet with me to the restaurant?

Unfortunately, we refuse any guests to bring their pets to the restaurant.

In regards to food allergies

At KIHARU Brasserie, we prepare a variety of menu items in the same kitchen, using the same utensils for preparing the food.
Furthermore, as we use the same dishwashers to clean utensils, etc. as we use for those for non-allergy-free food, and we cannot entirely discount the possibility that trace elements of allergens have remained, we have not created a standard menu for our customers with food allergies, or a comprehensive list of allergies, or other such measures, with the goal of prioritizing our customers’ safety.

We ask that you take the above into account when you make a decision regarding whether or not to dine here.

If you wish, you may bring in your own food from outside, and eat at the same table as the rest of your party.

Where is the nearest train station?

There are several stations: Keihan Line “Sanjo” Station, Subway Tozai Line “Kyoto Shiyakusho-mae” Station and “Sanjo Keihan” Station, and Hankyu Kyoto Line “Kyoto-kawaramachi” Station.

We are arriving at JR Kyoto station. How can we get to your hotel from there?

By Subway:
Take a subway from Karasuma Line “Kyoto Station” to “Karasuma Oike Station”, and transfer at this station. Then, take a subway Tozai Line to “Kyoto Shiyakusho-mae Station”, and walk for about 4 minutes from Exit 1 to the hotel.

By Bus:
Take either no. 205, no. 17 or no. 4 buses at Kyoto Station Bus Stop “A2”, OR no. 5 bus at Station Bus Stop “A1”, and get off at Kawaramachi Sanjo. It takes about 2 minutes walk to the hotel.

By Taxi:
It will take approximately 15 minutes from Hachijoguchi or Chuoguchi Exits of Kyoto Station.

Is there any parking lot?

Unfortunately we do not have any private parking facilities. There is one parking lot by the hotel, which we have a contract with. Cars must be: H1.55m, W1.90m, L5.250m. Once you receive a parking ticket, please present it at the front desk. The parking fee is 1,600 yen for 24 hours.

Other facility recommended is Zest Oike (not contracted). Cars must be : H2.1m, W2.0m, L5.0m. The parking fee as follows;
1,500 yen from 9:00 p.m. to 9 a.m. next day,
250 yen per 30 mins from 7:00 a.m. to 10:00 p.m.
250 yen per 60 mins from 10:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. next day

Is it possible to park a bike?

Yes, we are providing the place for the guests. Please ask any hotel staff if you need to park your bikes.
